Assemble Fest 2017: The Highlights

Celebrating a spectacular day of performance in the heart of Newland Ave.

Musical processions, wheelie bin interventions and a whole lot of a theatre. This is all in a day’s work for the team at Assemble Fest, Hull’s annual festival of theatre and performance on Newland Avenue.

On Saturday 3 June, we watched in amazement as the people of Hull (and beyond) descended on HU5 for Assemble Fest 2017, immersing themselves in the work of our city’s emerging theatre groups, musicians and entertainers. With six shows, plenty of free family activity and an all-singing, all-dancing finalé performance, there was something to see and do around every corner.

We’ve pulled some of our best bits together so that you can relive the day – or experience the magic of Assemble Fest for the first time.

Why not also take a look at our Assemble Fest gallery?
