Gallery: Assemble Fest 2017

Thrilling theatre shows, musical madness and community spirit – relive the top moments from Assemble Fest 2017.

Newland Avenue came to life this weekend as the annual performance festival Assemble Fest returned with a thrilling programme featuring the most exciting local performers, fun-filled family activities and the jaw-dropping finalé Our Street Our Stage.

Celebrating diversity and togetherness, the festival took place in some of Newland’s best-loved venues whilst bringing to light some hidden spaces.

Hull’s burgeoning theatre companies tackled everything from robotic technology to sea creatures, food and street robberies, before Newland Avenue’s rich history unfolded through contemporary dance, song and performance in the stunning finalé.

We’re already counting down the days until next year’s festival, but until then, take a look at some of our best bits from Assemble Fest 2017.
