Make some noise for Hull 2017’s latest partner P&O Ferries

You’ve experienced Made in Hull the installation, now check out Made in Hull, the live music mini cruise.

Hull 2017 partners P&O Ferries are launching their very own Made in Hull themed mini cruise following our opening event of the same name.

The cruise, which will sail to Amsterdam and Rotterdam on 24 February, brings together Hull born-and-bred singers and songwriters, including ska punk gypsy hip-hop band Counting Coins (pictured below), country pop singer Emma King (pictured in header), rock’n’roll band Audio Subscene, psychedelic garage band The Black Delta Movement and ska band Bud Sugar, plus comedians Gary Jennison, Gina Jenkinson, Jack Gleadow, Jed Salisbury and Steve Rimmer.

Sarah Rosier, head of tourist sales and marketing at P&O Ferries, said: “Hull 2017’s first season Made in Hull celebrates the local talent so we wanted to show our support by putting something on that replicates that spirit on one of our ships.

“We are excited to be at the heart of bringing new and repeat visitors to Hull and promoting the city as a cultural destination.”

Martin Green, CEO and director of Hull 2017 added: “We are delighted to welcome P&O Ferries on board as a major partner. The partnership gives us a real boost in our efforts to champion Hull as a gateway to and from mainland Europe.

P&O Ferries has embraced our opening season by choosing to showcase up-and-coming musicians and comedians.

“We also look forward to working with the team on a special project in our next season Roots and Routes, which will welcome talent from Rotterdam into the city. And as the year draws to a close, P&O will also play a valuable part in helping us Tell the World about Hull.”
