Maverick is a German exchange student who spent a few days in Hull with the Visit Hull team. During his visit we arranged for him to visit The Deep. These are his thoughts on one of Hull’s most loved attractions.
My visit to The Deep
The Deep fascinated since 2002, the inhabitants and tourists in Hull. They was known by the diversity of aquatic species and the species-friendly handling of the animals. One of the reasons why I really wanted to go in the Deep is that I am very fascinated by the Turtles. But when I saw in the Great Aquarium the sharks, fish and turtles so harmoniously swum together I had to tell myself a”WOW”. The great ambience and the biodiversity have just astonished me.
I am sure that the more than 3 million visitors can quite and clearly agree with me when I say that this was a breathtaking moment. Many children have been very happy to see the big Fishes and I think that we should never forget that they are also creatures that have earned a species-appropriate attitude as in The Deep. Probably some of my readers are wondering why I am writing about this attraction, surely there would be better sights. However, on the island of Mauritius, I have had an experience of an island next to Madagascar that gave me a clear view of other life. I saw a big one and a lot of baby Turtles. There were about to swim in the sea. That was my first time I saw real Turtles and this moment has made me so happy that I wanted to see Turtles again. However, I have also been there because of the penguin and the sharks, I mean yes you do not see something every day, or ? The Staff was really friendly and I become happy when i saw the diver swimming with the Fishes.
