Video: Hull art students showcase their work in London

Saturday Art Club students from Hull School of Art and Design contribute to exhibition at Somerset House in London.

Last year we met 24 aspiring art and design students at Hull School of Art and Design (HSAD) who had been handpicked by their art teachers to take part in the weekly National Art&Design Saturday Club. Funded in Hull by our No Limits learning programme, the Saturday Art Club gave 13-16 year olds a unique opportunity to study the subject they love at their local college, providing invaluable experience to help them with their coursework.

Every Saturday over the last academic year, these students have worked with a range of guest artists who have shared their knowledge and expertise in a fun, creative setting. The students have been given the opportunity to explore their creativity across the arts and embrace the spirit of Hull 2017 by throwing themselves into something new.

Almost 30 weeks later these talented students travelled to London to see a culmination of their hard work in an exhibition at the world-famous Somerset House.
