This year’s Radio 1’s Big Weekend takes place on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 May at Burton Constable Hall, Hull. Gates to the Big Weekend will open at 11am on both Saturday and Sunday and the event will finish at 10:00pm.

TRAVELLING TO BBC RADIO 1’S BIG WEEKEND
Ticket holders for BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend (27 or 28 may) are required to purchase a ticket for the official Shuttle / Park & Ride Service to get to the event site. This is to ensure that all ticket holders can get to and from the event site as safely and smoothly as possible and reduce congestion in the local area.
Shuttle services will depart from Hull Paragon Interchange. Park & Ride Services will depart from various locations. Specific details will be announced in due course.
Shuttle buses will run to the event site throughout the morning. Return journeys will begin in the early afternoon and continue until everyone has left the site.
For safety reasons it will not be possible to walk to the event site. There are also no public parking facilities available in and around the event site area and traffic management restrictions will be in place. If you breach traffic management restrictions, your vehicle may be towed.
Shuttle bus services will be priced at £13 per person. Secure parking will be available at park and ride sites in east and west Hull for an additional charge of £7.50 per car. You can book your tickets for the Shuttle / Park & Ride Service from Wednesday 19 April 2017 at 10am. Ticket holders will be emailed the booking link.
A designated drop-off point for licensed taxi or private hire services will be in operation, however, passengers will be required to present their tickets for BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in order for vehicles to enter the restricted area. Pre-booked licensed taxis or private hire cars will also be able to collect passengers from designated locations. Details of these locations will be announced in due course.
There will be blue badge parking available for disabled travellers at Burton Constable. Information about this can be found on the Radio 1 website.
