Christmas is coming to the Fruit Market

Christmas is coming to Hull’s Fruit Market later this month, with carols, festive trees and fairy trails.

Starting from 5pm on November 29, Humber Street will come to life with a storytelling and saxophone rave by comedy duo Gary & Jeddy Bear, as well as acapella carols courtesy of the Human Jukebox Choir.

The Christmas tree lights will be officially switched on at 6pm, with the launch of the Enchanted Wonderland show, filled with music, comedy, dance, party games and prizes.

The evening of yuletide festivities also signals the start of late night shopping in the Fruit Market, with Humber Street’s independent traders staying open until 8pm every Friday evening in the run up to Christmas.

The Fruit Market Festive Fairy Trail will begin on the evening of Friday, November 29.

Local designer and owner of fashion boutique 19point4, Shaun Barker-Newton, has remastered a collection of Monster High dolls to form a magical fairy trail along Humber Street.
