Humber All Nations Alliance (HANA) has been working to bring communities across Hull together, building relationships.
The organisation is already recognised for the well-loved six-a-side football world cup tournament it stages annually, as it brings all of Hull together in joyful celebration. Now HANA is bringing more exciting, unifying events to the city.
Events such as the International Fashion Show and Cultural Exhibition and Dance Performances aim to do just this, uniting communities through colourful, vibrant celebration of all nationalities and people across the region.
The fashion show will feature beautiful traditional clothing and culture from all over the world – expect dazzling colour and music that will transport you across the globe. Explore eastern Europe, Asia, Latin America and Africa, through the coming together of these local communities.
Similarly, the International Cultural Exhibition & Dance Performances will celebrate these diverse cultures, but this time through dance, and performance. The aim is to give both people from all over the world and those born in bred in Hull the opportunity to express themselves and share traditions.
Brigitta Laszlo, one of the organisers, said:
The International Fashion Show is an event that cannot be missed by anyone who wants to see the true multicultural face of the city and the region.
The events are supported by our Creative Communities Programme. Martin Green, Director of Hull 2017, said of the fashion show: “This event promises to be a fantastic and colourful display of the wonderfully diverse communities we have in the region.
“It’s a brilliant annual event and we are delighted that we are able to support it.”
