Hull alumni (and now hot-stuff-on-the-West-End) Graham spent 2017 quietly observing our year in the spotlight, speaking to staff and volunteers about what it was really like working behind the scenes on UK City of Culture. He’s turned his research into a new play – a farce in two acts – taking a wry look at ‘the culture’.

Manchester’s Camerata and Derby’s Sinfonia Viva are coming together for a feel-good concert with a difference. Popular classics from Mendelsohn to Mozart share the bill with new music from our region, including musical groups from Pocklington and Withernsea. East Riding Youth Dance County Company will be on hand to perform live too.

This most Yorkshire of Yorkshire bands return with a new EP (the aptly-named Yorkshire Electric) and a short northern tour, ending their road-trip in Beverley. With their infectious melodies and powerful DIY ethic, Hope & Social’s band of followers continues to grow, and grow, and grow. They are the band that anyone can join, after all.

As the company launch their newest Opera North Children’s Chorus in Hull, all enthusiastic young singers are welcome to join in. Work with professional performers and hone your vocal skills in this fun, interactive singing session.
