Design your own hat as part of Arco’s Hard Hat Challenge

Calling all artists! Arco, a Hull 2017 major partner, is challenging you to use your imagination. You’re being asked to use your own individual piece of artwork based on that health and safety staple, the hard hat.  There’s a challenge suitable for all ages, so everyone can get involved – no excuses.

Hard Hat Challenge

Reinvent the hard hat! This challenge runs until Monday 14 August.

Entries will be judged by a panel of Arco and Hull 2017 representatives. Shortlisted hard hats, each complete with their own unique design, will then form an exhibition at the St Stephen’s Shopping Centre between Monday 11 September and Friday 22 September, where everyone can enjoy the inspirational designs Hull has created.

The winner will receive a £300 cash prize
Two runners-up will each receive a £100 cash prize.
The under-18 winner will receive a £100 cash prize.
