No Limits is the learning programme for Hull UK City of Culture 2017. The programme offers a variety of opportunities for everyone to shape, access, engage and participate in 365 days of transformative culture.
In order to challenge and unleash creativity in the classroom we have developed a series of creative resources to engage primary school students with our artistic programme, different art forms and the four seasons of Hull 2017.
Every Key Stage 1 and 2 child in Hull has received a copy of Hello Hull, the first in the series of magazines with lessons, ideas and resources for teachers and parents to download, print and use. It has been produced by children’s publishing company Anorak and features child friendly, engaging illustrations created by international children’s illustrators and authors.
I think that the magazine is really good because it helps us understand what City of Culture is all about and what’s going to be happening – Year 6 student, Priory Primary School
Developed in collaboration with teachers and aligned to the National Curriculum, each magazine will present the themes of the seasons in a fun and informative format to encourage children to unleash their creativity and to engage with the artistic programme through poems, drawings and puzzles.
