Where would Christmas shows be without the traditional pantomime? Well they don’t come much more traditional than Cinderella!

Audiences shall go to the ball this Christmas as Cinderella transforms from rags to riches, outwits her Wicked Stepmother and very Ugly Sisters, and with the help of her hilarious friend Buttons, father Baron Hardup and one very magical Fairy Godmother, wins the heart of the dashing Prince Charming.

Playing the role of Cinderella’s Wicked Stepmother will be multi-award winning stage, television, film actress and singer Anita Dobson.

The Contemporary One

Hull Truck brings another feast for the eyes with its production of Oliver Twist. This beautifully presented telling of the Charles Dickens classic is a sometimes funny , sometimes moving, sometimes tragic telling of the well know tale that is a must for those that love their theatre intimate and thoughtfully composed.

The Alternative One

Do you love your pantomime a little more chaotic? If so then you can’t miss the Beauty and the Beast as told by Middle Child Theatre. Returning for its 7th year this rock and roll retelling of the classic fairy tale is becoming a wild tradition  in Hull’s Christmas calendar.

The one for the Young

A festive re-imagining of the Hans Christian Andersen’s classic tale. Being young can be hard and you just cant wait to grow up. You’ll be happy, you’ll be beautiful. you’ll fly….right? This story is about being a duckling not a swam.
