Hull Comedy Festival is setting sail for the first time this October with a P&O Hull Comedy Minicruise.
With a line-up that promises chuckles from Hull to the Netherlands and back again, the mirth-filled P&O minicruise is part of Hull Comedy Festival’s 10th anniversary celebrations and the perfect precursor to the main festival.
Suitable for all comedy tastes and ages, the line-up also includes magic, dance, music, variety and the odd impression or two to boot.
Jed Salisbury, director of Hull Comedy Festival, said: “I’m very excited. This is a fantastic opportunity for the festival to be seen by a wider audience and to showcase comedy in partnership with P&O Ferries. It’s great to be involved with such a fun event, and a massive step for Hull Comedy Festival – most comedy festivals take place on land for a start. I’m so proud of the venture that Hull Comedy Festival’s creative director Gary Jennison and I have undertaken. It’s a huge step towards making Hull Comedy Festival a crown jewel in Hull’s autumn events calendar.”
Among the list of talented performers is Hull’s next breakout comedy star Jack Gleadow. With multiple new act awards already under his belt and more national competition finals still to come this year, he’s definitely one to watch.

Dan Bridgett, head of communications at P&O Ferries, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming the Hull Comedy Festival on board and look forward to everyone on the ship having a memorable couple of days. Our cruise-ferries on the North Sea are one of the most stylish ways of travelling to the continent. Passengers can take advantage of first-class restaurants and bars, shops offering discounts of up to 40 per cent on high street prices, and spectacular sea views.”
