The exclusively-designed merchandise includes t-shirts, hoodies, hats, mugs and stationery. One t-shirt carries a new work by Hull-based artist Mark Wigan and another is emblazoned with the slogan, ‘You’re only here for the culture‘.
A commission from the sale of the official merchandise will support local arts projects as part of the legacy plans for the city after 2017.
If you can’t make it down to House of Fraser and want to get your Hull 2017 Christmas gifts in quick, you’ll be able to order online from tomorrow.
Phil Batty, Director of Marketing, Communities and Legacy, said: ‘With one of the most important years in this city’s history just weeks away, Hull 2017 official merchandise is a fantastic opportunity to grab a souvenir to go with the memories being UK City of Culture will bring.
Not only that, they make good Christmas presents, with the added bonus that they will also be raising money to support arts projects after 2017 is over.’
The Hull 2017 range has been produced by Event Merchandise Limited.
