After almost a year of lockdowns and restrictions going back to the buildings routes seemed a sensible thing for survival. The Old House survived two world wars so it has to survive this pandemic. The building spent many years of its life as a local shop and we intend to do just that!
In a nod to the late Charlie Foster, the shopkeeper at 5 Scale Lane, Fosters @ The Old House will provide home cooled ready meals and local produce to support the community through the ongoing challenges. From Brendan’s Pies to Warrendale Wagyu Steaks, the old house will supply you with all you need for a warming supper. Open daily 10am-3pm and Sundays 12-6pm serving Hot Wagyu Sunday Roasts for takeaway.
Our restaurant is Hull’s oldest domestic building. It has survived two world wars and we are determined to survive this global pandemic!
