How can we learn from those we are connected with?

Through a series of workshops, primary school students have been exploring the history of Hull and life in our twin city of Freetown in Sierra Leone.

There may be sea between Freetown and Hull, but it links us rather than divides. The exhibition of sound-art and creative writing by primary school children from both cities explores the acoustic connections between their homes, the ports, markets, homes, and monuments to slavery and freedom.

The exhibition toured to secondary schools twinned with the primary schools.
