Community Brand Case Study: Freedom Road Creative

Since then it has spread its wings and is now an independent charity. It is there for children and young people who find it difficult to access creative activities in any other environment. This could be for any number of reasons, from financial and geographical to psychological, but the important thing is that FRCA is there for them.

With drama and music at its heart, this charity offers five weekly sessions in singing, dancing and creative writing. The gang has recently been busy recording a music video for a project everyone is working on, as well as taking part in Rock Challenge.

With creativity in their blood, all at FRCA are planning what they would like to do as part of Hull 2017. And while the younger Freedom Roaders are keen to get involved in City of Culture’s artistic events, the older ones are excited about the prospect of volunteering to make the year a success.
