The BBC has announced a major partnership with Hull, UK’s City of Culture for 2017. The BBC will provide significant regional, national and international coverage. It will also commission a substantial raft of new content to showcase the arts and produce a major programme of activity in 2017. It’s part of the BBC’s commitment to offering comprehensive coverage of the arts across the UK and to encourage the public to participate in creative activities.

The BBC is one of the great things about Britain and has a unique power to bring the country together. For £2.80 a week, the BBC offers more channels and services than it did 20 years ago for the same amount (in real terms).
