Each year our Open Exhibition provides an exciting opportunity for amateur and professional artists to celebrate creativity side by side in the Ferens Art Gallery’s beautiful temporary exhibition spaces.
The display often includes a truly diverse selection of artworks in a variety of styles and media, many of which are also for sale, allowing visitors to purchase original artworks at a range of prices. If you would like the chance for your artwork to be exhibited in one of the UK’s leading regional art galleries enter the Open Exhibition.

Venue Details
The Ferens has a magnificent collection of paintings and sculptures, including works by European Old Masters, portraiture, marine painting, and modern and contemporary British art. Highlights include masterpieces by Lorenzetti, Frans Hals, Antonio Canaletto, Frederick Leighton, Stanley Spencer, David Hockney, Helen Chadwick and Gillian Wearing. With a regular programme of events, guided tours and changing exhibitions, there’s always something new to explore. You can also enjoy refreshments in our popular cafe, Venue Hull.
