We’re back…as long as there is no reversing on the roadmap Music HQ Presents Acoustic Tuesday will be re-opening for business at our home, Service Station on George Street on Tuesday 18th May!
Last year when we were allowed to have shows the Acoustic Tuesday nights where brilliant with some awesome performers and good crowds so we can’t wait to get back to it again from May 18th !!!
We’re so happy to be able to get back to something like normality, obviously we are assuming the Government rules will be very similar to last year .
The night is in normal times pretty free and easy with lots of wandering about/socialising/being generally friendly…the friendly part will certainly still be there and now you will have table service from the ultra friendly Dan.
The audience & players (when not performing) will need to stay seated apart from trips to the toilet & for a smoke and as with everywhere else face covering will be required when moving away from your table. Some say this might be a good thing as you will see less of sound engineer/organiser Darren’s face…
You can book tables in advance to make sure you don’t miss out, just drop the bar a message on here. Walk ups are fine as long as we have room to fit you in.
Performers are encouraged to bring their own microphones for safety, if you don’t have one we will have lots of spare mics so no sharing will happen and each mic after use will be cleaned and put aside until the next week’s gig.
As before the night welcomes acoustic original acts or people wanting to play covers, its up to you want you want to perform. Please try and get down as close to 7pm as you can as we will have to be strict with our finish time now.
For the first week back the first confirmed act is the wonderful & regulars on the local music scene, The Cats Groove. A brilliant duo playing a mix of their own material & classic covers in a soulful/blues style.
Also just confirmed is another of our favourites/regulars, Mr G !!!
More regulars are back for our first night after lockdown when we welcome Terry & the Mrs.
We’re also very happy to welcome back Amy Bell with have alternative influenced originals & covers and Richard Silvester with his acoustic interpretations of classic songs.
We’re now full for featured sets for the first week but drop us a message to get booked in for next one or future weeks.
