Making his fourth guest appearance with the Hull Philharmonic Orchestra, Alessandro Taverna will feature in Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev’s Third Piano Concerto.
The Venice-born soloist has captivated audiences on some of the greatest stages, and concertgoers will be able to find out more about him during a pre-concert talk with the orchestra’s musical director, Andrew Penny.
The concert includes another 20th century classic in Jean Sibelius’s seventh symphony and Antonin Dvorak’s brilliant fifth symphony wraps up a successful season for the Hull Philharmonic Orchestra.
