Join Paula, the Curator of Archaeology, to explore the Prehistory Galleries at the Hull and East Riding Museum. The focus for this informal gallery talk will be the work of the pioneering Victorian archaeologist, J.R. Mortimer, and his 40 years excavating burial mounds on the Yorkshire Wolds. We’ll look at the innovative ways he formed his collection and the role his daughter, Agnes, played in creating a lasting legacy.
