Dr Andrew Pearson is an archaeologist and Senior Heritage Consultant for Aecom. He has a first degree in History and an MA and PhD in Archaeology from Reading University.
Having worked as a project officer for two archaeological excavation units, he established his own heritage consultancy in 2004. It was in this capacity that he joined the environmental team assessing proposals for a new airport on the South Atlantic island of St Helena.
These studies led to the major excavations of ‘liberated African’ graveyards in Rupert’s Valley which are the subject of this lecture.
In 2017 Andrew joined Aecom’s Heritage team, and is currently lead author of the Environmental Statement for the proposed A303 tunnel within the Stonehenge landscape.
