Annual Shakespeare Lecture 2018 #Me Too: Measure for Measure In The Twenty-First Century

Emma Smith is Professor of Shakespeare Studies at Hertford College, University of Oxford. She has lectured widely in academic and wider contexts including at the Hay Festival, the Edinburgh Book Festival and the Globe Theatre, and worked with a number of theatre directors on Shakespeare productions.

Her research on Shakespeare focuses on the reception of his works on stage, in print and in criticism. Her most recent book is Shakespeare’s First Folio: Four Centuries of an Iconic Book, is currently working on an edition of Twelfth Night.
