Join us for a wonderful Summer’s evening of music in the spectacular grounds of the former Botanical Gardens in Hymers Avenue in Hull on Saturday 6th July 2019.
Established in 2002, Classics In The Park is a last night of the proms style event with a 50 piece orchestra playing some of the best known classical pieces along with the superb voices of Beth Mackay (Soprano) and Paul Gibson (Baritone) from Opera North. And our very special guest this year is Jonathan Ansell, an internationally renowned Tenor who’s currently part of the Les Musicals Tour. Jonathan’s possibly best known as part of the Classical group G4, finalists in the very first XFactor but has made a huge name for himself as a sole singer. And all will come together for a traditional Last Night of the Proms Finale of Land of Hope and Glory, Rule Britiannnia and other famous songs accompanied by a co-ordinated firework display lighting up the night sky
You’re welcome to bring a picnic, or food and drink is available to buy on the grounds. Gates open at 5.30 with the concert starting at 7.30 and finishing at 11. With ample free parking and public transport just a stone’s throw away, there’s no excuse not to come and be part of an amazing night of music and fun.
