We’ll bring the music. You strike the chord.

We’re holding a series of free live music gigs and workshops in partnership with Creative Voice and Music 4U especially for young people aged 14-19.

For our second HUSH gig, LUMER, Dead Hormones and Serial Chiller will perform at George Street Car Park on George Street, Hull and tickets are FREE.

Formed in early 2016, Hull’s LUMER forged their cryptic post-punk sound playing high octane shows throughout the city. Adding a synth to their sound at the turn of autumn, the band are now making their mark across other cities up and down the country.

Channeling their spin on 80’s alt-rock to great success, the band have crafted their own brand of raw post-punk material that is both exciting to the eyes and pleasing to the ears.

DIY Magazine – “New cut ‘Gruel’, today’s Neu Pick, is aggressive in the extreme, with periods of forced restraint in the verses giving way to unhinged, brutal choruses. It’s a track that leaves nothing to chance.”

Fred Perry Subculture – “LUMER have a dystopian musical aesthetic pitched perfectly somewhere between Bauhaus and Nirvana.”

Huw Stephens, BBC Radio 1 – ”I saw LUMER at the Introducing Stage in Hull (Radio One’s Big Weekend). I genuinely think they were the loudest band the whole weekend. They were loud, they were raucous and they were brilliant.’’

Dead Hormones

Dead Hormones are an innovative grunge/punk band from Hull, England. They have progressed their sound over the last few years and have become a band that uses classic songwriting and heavy guitars to create an energetic live performance to remember. Their influences include Nirvana, Queens of The Stone Age and Radiohead as well as many others.

Serial Chiller

Serial Chiller are the kind of band that don’t care about being cool. They’re too busy mopping up hangovers from the deals menu in Pizza Hot and yet despite this, whether they mean it or not, their sound is instantly cool and shows songwriters craft.
