In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and recent government advice, Hull City Council and Hull Culture and Leisure have taken the difficult decision to close both Hull City Hall and Hull New Theatre to the public and will cancel all performances with immediate effect for the next three months.

Hull City Hall and Hull New Theatre is currently working in liaison with promoters of upcoming shows to seek alternative dates for their productions.

Anyone with tickets for this performance, thank you for your patience Hull City Hall/Hull New Theatre will be in touch in due course.

Updates will be available on social media channels and website with the latest information as they continue to review the situation based on advice received from official bodies.

 

Senbla by arrangement with Opera International presents An Ellen Kent Production, with international soloists, highly praised chorus and full orchestra. Starring Elena Dee the Korean soprano in her iconic role as Mimi and the celebrated international soprano Alyona Kistenyova.

Directed by Ellen Kent, this brand new production is traditionally staged and features beautiful sets and costumes.

La Bohème is one of the most romantic operas ever written. It tells the tragic tale of the doomed, consumptive Mimi and her love for a penniless writer.

The set reflects the Bohemian art of the period and will include a brass band, snow effects, and Muzetta’s dog will also make an entrance.This classic tale of Parisian love and loss features many famous arias including Your Tiny Hand is Frozen, They Call Me Mimi and Muzetta’s Waltz.Sung in Italian with English surtitles
