February 2nd is the Feast of the Purification of the Virgin Mary, and the Presentation of Christ at the Temple.

Tonight we present music written for the Christian Candlemas service by composers including Peter Philips, William Byrd and Tomas Luis de Victoria, alongside choral music in veneration of the Virgin Mary by Britten, Howells and Pergolesi.

The concert also includes music for strings by Tye, Byrd and Ireland.

Tickets include wine and canapés.
