Paul Taylor – trombone, Peter Elsdon – piano, John Marley – bass, Alan Drever-Smith – drums, Matt Smith – sax and Gary Hammond – percussion Jazz trombonist, composer and poet

Paul Taylor first began playing jazz in Hull in the 1970s. Encouraged by many local musicians and band leaders, he was active on the Hull music scene for several years before moving to London, where his reputation soon developed. In recent years, he’s performed with Loose Tubes, Roberto Pla’s Latin Ensemble and the Mingus Big Band.

His Jazz in Hull: People & Places Suite is a tribute to the local performers who encouraged him and to the venues where they played.
