Summary

As part of WOW Hull, we would like to invite you to become a Revolutionary Maker by joining in and creating conversation around gender equality and laying the ground for social action on change.

You can help play your part by creating your own inspiring and thought-provoking hand-crafted art work – either in a group or on your own. Whether you decide to make badges, brooches, wristbands the options are endless. They could be printed, sewn, stitched, woven, image transferred, whatever you like!

The pieces will be inspired by what there is to celebrate and what there is to change, as well as Hull’s historical, often unseen, trailblazers.

At the end of WOW Hull, the pieces will be gifted to whoever comes to claim and wear them to further the cause and create conversation with those you meet throughout the rest of the year.

SO HOW DO YOU GET INVOLVED?

We will be helping run workshops where members of community groups, school teachers/assistants, and anyone else who would like to find out more can come along and get inspired.

The workshops will begin by introducing the project, show example pieces that may inspire you and also demonstrate how to have a go at making something yourself. You will get the chance to meet others (no skills required and all materials supplied) and you will have take-away guidelines you can share with others.

The workshops are free and informal, but booking is strongly advised as spaces are limited.

Please contact us to register your interest and to let us know about any access requirements you may have by emailing: wow@hull2017.co.uk

This workshop will run from 10am – 12pm
