Summary

Vans Shop Riot will be returning to the UK this summer, tearing up Rockcity skate park in Hull.

Offering core stores from across the country the opportunity to battle each other in a strictly street contest, there’s three grand money prizes up for grabs as well as a coveted spot into the European Finals in Milan later this year.

Hull as City of Culture and the UK’s first skateboarding friendly city will open its doors to the industry’s finest for the weekend showdown.

Rockcity’s Mark English commented: “We are delighted to welcome Vans Shop Riot to Rockcity. Hull is a city that has embraced skateboarding for many years and now even more so through the Skate/Hull partnership. It’s also a big boost for the new Vans Shop in Shop we have at the skate park too.

The reigning champions, Manchester’s Black Sheep, will be back again for 2017, with more than 30 stores expected to come together to challenge them, each entering a team of three into the competition.
