Women of Words is a collective of six women, hosting a monthly event that provides a supportive, lively and appreciative space for women to hear and perform spoken word. Each month, there are two guests and open mic spots at this pay-as-you-wish event.
Performing is the marvellous Becky Cherriman – a commissioned writer, creative writing facilitator and prize-winning performer based in Leeds.
Her work is informed by the belief that not only does writing and spoken word help us to make sense of the world and our place in it, but provides us with the tools to transform our lives.
Also performing is Tracy Scott Townsend author, of The Last Time We Saw Marion (2014) Another Rebecca (2015) and Of His Bones (2017) – all published by Inspired Quill – and The Eliza Doll (2016) published by Wild Pressed Books.
