The Awakening is a two-day event taking place across the Hull Old Town on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th of March from 6pm to 10pm. Highlights will include fire and light installations and performances marking the changing of the seasons from Winter to Spring and welcoming people back to the city centre. As part of the fun, Scarborough-based artists Wintercroft have designed an exciting Awakening-themed fox mask. Ferens Art Gallery are holding a drop in mask making sessions on Friday, March 18th (6pm – 6.45pm & 7pm to 7.45pm), Saturday 19th March ((6pm – 6.45pm & 7pm to 7.45pm) where you can make one of the wonderful masks ready for the event.
Due to popular demand, these sessions are now pre-bookable. To give you the time you’ll need to create your amazing artwork, please arrive on time for your booking or your place may be assigned to others on our waiting list at the event.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum of two adults per child.
