Who was George Peck and why does his work matter?
Find out how Hull born Peck travelled the world introducing fine art and design to Australia and Tasmania. Travelling such distances in the 1800’s was not easy, but Peck made use of trans- Pacific travel to bring culture to the New World as both a prolific carver and virtuoso violinist.
Known as the Paganini of Hull his life was colourful and rich. Take a look at his exemplary carving at Hull Minster.
