BRAND NEW EP ‘GRIEF ENSLAVED’ OUT NOW
“When I leave this earth, it’ll be on my own terms”
This is the mission statement which the heartfelt, melodic-hardcore quartet, Reclaimer are pushing to the masses. The Lincolnshire outfit are refusing to lie down and are beginning to stake their claim in the UK scene with their impressive live shows, bringing a combo of high-energy hardcore and soaring melodies to any stage they set foot on.
Merging a love of 00’s post-hardcore bands (the likes of Underoath, Your Demise and Senses Fail) with a passion for current metalcore and melodic-hardcore acts such as Counterparts and Casey, Reclaimer – Harrison Cook (Vocals), Michael Whittey (Guitar), Robert Featherstone (Bass), Cameron Corton (Drums) – have put together something different for the UK underground scene to savour. This caught the eye of Victory Records subsidiary Famined Records earlier this year, who saw a chance to work with the promising newcomers – something which the band had been seeking since their inception, a chance to push themselves to the masses.
This newfound partnership has unlocked many doors – an EU tour with To Kill Achilles, followed by the release of their latest EP “Grief Enslaved” which has pushed the four-piece to new heights, amassing over 130,000 listens across all platforms and securing air time on Kerrang! Radio Fresh Blood for their single “July”, leaving Alex Baker describing the band as “ones to watch”. Recently appearing at Macmillan Festival and with past performances alongside Martyr Defiled, Astroid Boys and Fathoms, the world is firmly at Reclaimer’s feet, and as they state, they aren’t leaving until they’ve had their way.
