Legendary doo-wop and R&B group The Drifters are set to bring their virtuoso vocal talents to Hull City Hall.
The group will be performing all their classic hits from the last six decades including Saturday Night at the Movies, Come on Over to My Place, Stand By Me, and Under the Boardwalk on Saturday 6 June, 2020.
The new tour comes after the phenomenal success of their 65th anniversary tour in 2018, further sell-out shows in 2019 and their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
The Drifters, who are listed among the greatest artists of all time by Rolling Stone magazine, were created in 1953 by George Treadwell and Clyde McPhatter and they brought in several greats thereafter such as Johnny Moore and Ben E King.
This brand new show will have audiences dancing in the aisles rather than Kissin’ in the Back Row and searching little black books for More Than a Number.
The Hull City Hall holds numerous and varied events ranging from the Classics Orchestral Concert series to pop concerts, comedy, conferences, exhibitions and degree ceremonies.
