This is a four week course, going back to the basics of drawing, ideal for beginners or to improve skills with a step by step guide.
Topics covered are exploring perspectives, how to measure, shapes and shading, and will be useful to anyone who wishes to expand their knowledge and skills in any aspect of art.

Come along and join the world-famous Hallé Orchestra for a free practical session, for anybody to have a go with an instrument (no experience necessary).
Create some new music and sounds alongside musicians from the Hallé Orchestra. Together you will explore the music the Hallé Orchestra will be playing in the family concert the following day.
Explore a range of topics using different materials including guauche and acrylic paint, pencil, collage and crayons, along with using various methods, both 2D and 3D and working in different sizes.
Children will explore art using observation, imagination as well as taught techniques. Art Club aims to enrich learning and development as well as offering a creative fun and relaxing experience.
Parents & carers are welcome to stay for the duration of the session.
A two day workshop, working alongside artist Jake Attree, exploring the River Ancholme in Brigg through drawing and painting.
Day 1 will begin with making sketchbook drawings along the riverbank with the intention of finding a suitable subject for painting, developing these ideas into a more resolved and larger drawing. Jake will bring sketchbooks and larger drawings to show how he approaches this concept, as well as giving a demonstration.
On Day 2 you will begin painting in oils or watercolour all day, either from drawings in the studio or on site (depending on participants’ preferences and the weather!). Jake will be on hand to offer advice, direction and encouragement, concluding the day with a plenary session and a sense of fulfilment.
