Join Hull Choral Union this Spring for the second virtual concert featuring seasonal music from Hull Choral Union and Poetry from Ian McMillan (BBC Radio 3’s The Verb).
The programme consists of songs from the sixteenth century to the present day. It includes much loved madrigals such as Now is the month of maying by Thomas Morley, Elgar’s well-known As Torrents in Summer and three new compositions written by members of the choir.
The songs will be interspersed with poetry read by Ian McMillan, who you may have seen presenting The Verb when Hull hosted the BBC Contains Strong Language event.
