The team at KCOM is proud to be principal communications partner to Hull UK City of Culture 2017.
As a national communications and IT services provider headquartered in Hull, with more than 140,000 local customers and 900 employees in the region, KCOM is part of the fabric of Hull and East Yorkshire.
By listening to and learning from our customers, we design and deliver the right communications and integration services to connect them with the things that matter.
In Hull and East Yorkshire we offer phone, broadband and other communications services to residential and business customers.
Nationally we serve large enterprises like HMRC, which need bespoke technology solutions to help them run their organisations more efficiently and securely and improve the experience they deliver to their customers. We also serve national mid-sized businesses including Wren Living that look to increase productivity with our hosting, telephony and connectivity solutions.
We’ve pledged to promote digital connectivity and creativity throughout Hull’s year in the cultural limelight.
Hull remains the only city in the UK where ultrafast broadband, delivered directly to homes and businesses via fibre cables, is being rolled out as standard. We’ve committed tens of millions in further investment to make more local homes and businesses the best-connected in the UK. As a result, our Lightstream fibre service will be available to 148,000 homes and businesses by the end of the City of Culture year.
We believe in the transformational impact of the arts, which is why we’ve been a long-standing supporter of cultural events and organisations including Freedom Festival, the Humber Street Sesh and Ferens Art Gallery.
Throughout our partnership we’ll be working with the 2017 team to promote Hull as place where digital connectivity supports artistic expression and the cultural economy.
We’re looking forward to playing our part in making 2017 an outstanding success, delivering economic, cultural and social benefits during the year and long into the future.
