Dara Ó Briain

Dara Ó Briain is set to visit the Bonus Arena, with a brand new show!

At the end of his last tour, Dara had performed the show “Voice Of Reason” 180 times, over 2 years across 20 countries, from Auckland to Reykjavik, from Moscow to New York; and by March 2020 he was ready for a break!

He would now like to apologise for saying that and will never wish for anything like that again.

Ladies That Dig

Ladies That Dig at Hull Truck

“Where there’s muck, there’s bras!”

A hilarious and moving comedy-drama from the team that brought you Ladies That Bus.

Ladies That Dig is about the great outdoors and the people who enjoy it. Budding love, blossoming middle-age, exploring our roots, and unearthing buried treasures, lead us to discover what it means to ‘grow’…

Collected from real local interviews from Allotmenteers, Metal Detectorists, Archaeologists, Grave-diggers, Forensic Anthropologists and people who just love gardening, Ladies That Dig is a fertile blend of live music, comedy, and true tales from women who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty.

Richard Stott’s Afterparty

Richard Stott returns from the Fringe with a brand-new show filled with trademark storytelling and joyously acerbic one liners.

The runner up in Dave’s Jokes of the Fringe 2019 talks about stripping down for a documentary, club nights that turned into afterparties and then into crime scenes, and finally starting to grow up and beginning to like the adult he’s become. All while living with a disability…perhaps.

As seen on The Stand-Up Sketch Show (ITV2), The Times’ Jokes of the Fringe 2022, “Always engaging” Chortle, “Definitely one to watch out for” ★★★★ Broadway Baby, ★★★★ The Skinny, ★★★★ Three Weeks.

Justin Moorhouse: Stretch & Think

Justin is back: still funny, yet middle aged. A brand new show that may contain: Yoga, getting older, Madonna, shoplifters, Labradoodles, middle-aged cyclists, The Menopause, running, hating football fans but loving football, not drinking, funerals, is Tapas a rip off?, Captain Tom, Droylsden, the environment, self-improvement, ruining a sexual position, electric car charging spots used by doggers, nursery graduation, horses, Stig look-a-likes, home cooked food in places that aren’t your own home, the odd advantages of fundamental religions, the gym, shop door etiquette. And he’s got a new suit. Come, it’ll be fun.

★★★★ “What sets him apart is the craft. Lightning fast wit, masterful delivery.” Chortle

Noise Next Door: Hometown Heroes

The Noise Next Door: Hometown Heroes at Hull Truck Theatre

The quickest wits in comedy are coming to town with a side-splitting evening of hilarious off-the-cuff songs, scenes and characters. The stars of ‘Tonight at the Palladium’ (ITV1) will spin comedy gold out of the all things that YOU, the live audience, think are the best, worst and down right weirdest things about your hometown. Maybe a bit of local laughter really can save the day!

The Noise Next Door are thirteen time sell-out veterans of The Edinburgh Fringe and have appeared on ‘The One Show’ (BBC One), ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ (ITV1), and ‘Roast Battle’ (Comedy Central). They have also appeared alongside the likes of Michael McIntyre, Katherine Ryan, Romesh Ranganathan and Harry Hill.

The Reluctant Teacher

Kevin Precious used to be a teacher. He enjoyed the teaching part; it was the stuff that goes with it that was a drag. So he left. A funny overview of the pitfalls and pratfalls that go with his former profession; with a bit of pedagogical stuff (ooh-er) thrown in for good measure. There will also be a top circuit act doing a preview as well to make it a lovely double bill of Edinburgh-bound shows. Keep an eye on this space.

Lloyd Griffith: One Tonne of Fun

Lloyd Griffith at Hull Truck Theatre

After Lloyd’s last tour was interrupted by ‘you know what’ and ended up lasting 8 years or so, he’s BACK with a brand-new, fresh stand-up show for 2023.

This is his biggest tour to date, and he is pumped / really needs you to come. Since school Lloyd has always been a show off, doing anything he can to make people laugh, and 20-odd years later, nothing’s changed. There’ll be his unique bag of stand up, dubious impressions, and obviously a sprinkling of his (incredible) singing. Lloyd Griffith is: One Tonne of Fun.

Randy Feltface: Feltopia

In these uncertain times, you need a voice you can trust. Someone who’s traveled the world and knows how to fix it. Courage. Integrity. Other stuff. Vote 1 Randy Feltface.

Randy Feltface has spent the past eighteen years carving out a unique niche on the international comedy circuit. He was nominated for best comedy at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, played sold out seasons in London and New York and featured several times at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival. He made his US television debut as crowd favourite on NBC’s Bring The Funny, and his comedy specials have become pirated YouTube sensations. Politics seems like the natural next step.
