This is a prebooked craft session designed for children and young people who have a disability, are neurodivergent or experience anxiety, that would find it difficult to attend our busier drop-in family craft sessions. In the session, families can have a go at the craft activities that have been available in our drop-in half term craft workshops, but in a quieter environment with limited numbers.
In this workshop, children can make their own clay pinch pots, decorate a hand puppet and make some mermaid and horse themed crafts, all inspired by the Hull Museums collections.
Bookings will open on the Hull Museums Eventbrite page on Monday 20th January.
Takes place 10am-11:30am
Tuesday Evenings 6.00pm – 8.00pm

A good all round introduction to pottery. Techniques to include; tile making, coiling, throwing on the potters wheel, decorating and glazing.
The cost is £150 per person to include everything.
‘I would like to inform other people what a wonderful short course this was. Adele the tutor was very calm and relaxed and also very friendly and informative throughout. We learnt numerous skills during the course and even had a go on a potters wheel. It was very laid back and very enjoyable. I have mobility problems and my needs were accommodated really well and I felt the class was very inclusive in a positive way. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it.’ Verity.
We’re back with our first event in 2025.
This February we are hosting the 10th ‘Happy Little Paint Along’ at The Welly Club.
Come for an evening with Art, Heart and Prizes.
If you’ve not been before, come with us on a journey to paint based placidity as we collectively join in with a communal paint along to our Paint Thinner Winner – Bob Ross.
Our host Rabbey will be on stage guiding you along a cerulean quest to find your inner artist. Follow along with our tutorial, or go your own way, it’s entirely up to you, there are no mistakes here, just Happy Little Accidents.
Prizes to our favourite paintings, picked with no rules, rhymes or reasons.
Doors at 7pm, painting starts at 8.
Tickets available now.

Pay-As-You-Feel Life Drawing sessions with basic materials provided. All abilities welcome, casual/relaxed tuition if you need it. Sessions start with a group activity; we begin to think visually – picking out one of a number of drawings. Take a moment to consider what makes it interesting to you or why it is your favourite and we share these insights to each other in the group.
When we begin drawing we start with warm-ups of very quick poses, 5-30 seconds up to a minute. These fast drawings help us to loosen up before taking a bit longer on 5-10 minute drawings. After the break we draw on poses of 20-40 minutes. We may need to arrange for longer/whole session poses in advance, but feel free to make any suggestions and we’ll see what we can work out.
For most sessions a nude life model is present, but in the event a life model isn’t with us, the sessions run as a ‘Models Medley’. A Medley session offers the exciting opportunity for drawers of the group (if they so choose) to volunteer as a clothed model. It is a chance to draw a variety of models all in one night! Photos of your drawings are uploaded onto the Wild: MILD Archive. So join in on either a first or third Tuesday of the month and enjoy the evening, why not bring a friend! No booking required, just turn up!
