A fun printmaking workshop re-purposing LEGO tiles to create seaside themed artworks.
Join local print artists Lucy & Wendy of What If We Create, for a fun printmaking workshop re-purposing LEGO tiles to create seaside themed artworks.
We will provide all materials and you will be able to take your creations home.
The ink we use for this workshop is washable however please wear suitable clothing as it may stain fabrics, we will provide aprons but advise you to roll up your sleeves.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
This activity is part of the Healthy Holidays Hull programme funded by Hull City Council and the Department for Education. As part of the activity, free healthy snacks will be available for all children.

Make your own mini puppet theatre in this fun craft activity inspired by the traditional toys and games at the Streetlife Museum.

Hi there you little trees, this event isn’t a mistake, just a happy little accident we’ve put together for you.
Immerse yourselves in a cute little paint along played on the big screen, with everyone’s favourite artist (sorry Buchanan) Bob Ross.
No need to worry about supplies, we’ve got that covered.
Paints, Canvas and atmosphere provided. Coffee & themed cocktails available, with prizes to the best effort (voted by our bar staff).
We will be playing the episodes on our projector for you to join in.

Craft & Flea is a collection of independent makers, collectors, designers and creatives all under one roof!
Shop SMALL and shop LOCAL in our authentic crafty twist on the traditional flea-market with a huge selection of products from illustration to vintage bric-a-brac, plants to jewellery, ceramics to candles and SO much more!
This is not a typical craft fair. Stalls have been handpicked based on their high quality, on-trend products.

From the 23rd March- 14th April, join us for Nature in Action, where we will be exploring everything from butterflies and bees, to bats and beetles!

Discover more about how you can get involved with spotting nature around the city, by using the iNaturalist app and how to take part in the City Nature Challenge. Learn about the conservation efforts our Crew are carrying out to save the rare Tansy Beetle, a species native to the banks of York’s River Ouse.
This event is proudly supported by two fantastic charities, Mires Beck Nursery and The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB).
Our Nature in Action event is included within your standard admission; no additional booking is required. Visitors are highly advised to book their visit in advance.
Easter Trails – daily
Our outdoor Bunny Easter Trail will take you on an adventure through our Grounds and Stables where you will have to follow the clues to find the Easter egg nests! Fill in the word from each nest you find and make a sentence! – daily 10am to 5pm
Bunny rabbits are on the loose around our Hall and they’ve gathered up all of our Easter treats – can you help us find them all? – daily from 12pm to 5pm (last admission 4pm)

Have a Go Archery – Good Friday 11am to 3pm – £2 for 8 arrows (cash only)
Join in the fun with the Burton Constable Company of Bowmen and see if you can hit the target!
Learn from experienced and qualified instructors on an individual basis, as you shoot your way to success this Easter! (This activity is suggested for those aged 4 and over.)
So hop along to Burton Constable this Easter for some family fun – normal admission charges apply, plus £2 per child (19mths to 15 yrs).

In the morning we will weave a 5ft willow obelisk and in the afternoon 2 willow dragonflies using a corn-dolly style pattern

Please note: Willow weaving requires a large amount of manual dexterity in your hands.

Hosted by Jon Keen, a visual artist who has been teaching art and running art workshops in Hull for nearly twenty years, Jon works with colour as a main theme in his workshops, but utilises many or most mediums, from paint to pencils, clay to cardboard.
Jon works around the principle of creativity. He encourages and supports learning basic skills and then using them to create fantastic pieces of art.
If you want to have fun, learn something new and be creative come join us for a session. No experience necessary, and all materials are provided, all that’s needed is a willingness to get involved.

This session is designed for school aged children living in Hull, who have special educational needs or a disability. This session is funded by Hull City Council and the Department for Education through the Holiday Activities and Food Programme.
In this workshop children will work with artist Claire West to make a 3D mask of a character of their own invention, inspired by the new Jason Wilsher-Mills exhibition. Masks can be as colourful and imaginative as children like. Have fun and let your imagination run wild!
Places are limited and booking is essential. A packed lunch is provided for each child who attends the workshop. Please only book a ticket for each child attending the session.
