Suitable for beginners or for those with some willow weaving experience. I will support you throughout the day to create your willow sculpture.
Willow weaving is both great fun and therapeutic. Choose a sculpture to weave from the following:
- Sitting Hare
- Boxing hare
- Pig
- Deer
- Sheep
If you have a different sculpture in mind that you’d love to weave and which isn’t on the list please get in touch wbristow@tiscali.co.uk for further details.

Hosted by Jon Keen, a visual artist who has been teaching art and running art workshops in Hull for nearly twenty years, Jon works with colour as a main theme in his workshops, but utilises many or most mediums, from paint to pencils, clay to cardboard.
Jon works around the principle of creativity. He encourages and supports learning basic skills and then using them to create fantastic pieces of art.
If you want to have fun, learn something new and be creative come join us for a session. No experience necessary, and all materials are provided, all that’s needed is a willingness to get involved.

This session is designed for school aged children living in Hull, who have special educational needs or a disability. This session is funded by Hull City Council and the Department for Education through the Holiday Activities and Food Programme.
In this workshop children will work with artist Claire West to make a 3D mask of a character of their own invention, inspired by the new Jason Wilsher-Mills exhibition. Masks can be as colourful and imaginative as children like. Have fun and let your imagination run wild!

Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to work with professional published cartoonist, Sean Azzopardi. You will explore exciting ways to design a superhero character that will be bold and colourful like Jason Wilsher-Mills work. Design an outfit by choosing colours and shapes using pens and paints and design the appearance using animals, humans and technology for reference. Finally you will use the designs to build your character in 2D on paper or 3D using plasticine.
