Pride In Hull

Pride in Hull team will bring you the main fabulous Pride event and Parade, but this year will have a twist.

Due to on going works across the city and the closure of Queens Gardens the team have worked hard with partners to make sure we can still hold our annual event.

Although this year will be different from previous year, you will still have an amazing day. We are excited to have an event that will reach across the city from 12noon – 6pm.

The Parade begins near Humber Street and finishes at Queen Victoria Square.

The main stage is in Zebedees Yard with fabulous acts such as Boney M.

and many more (VIP area available)

The family area in Queen Victoria Square will have entertainment and activities across the day too.

Stalls, eateries, will be on King Edward Street, in Princes Quay, Trinity Market, Princes Dock Street, Saville Street and Autistic Pride at Pride in the calm area at Hull Truck Theatre!

Hull Theatre Quarter Beer Festival

The Hull Theatre Quarter Beer Festival is not centred on a single location; the aim is to involve as many pubs and bars in the Theatre Quarter area as possible.

Key locations will be;

The Hop and Vine (Albion Street) and The New Clarence (Charles Street)

Freedom Festival 2024

Freedom Festival is Hull’s award-winning international arts festival. From epic spectaculars unfolding in the city centre to intimate moments where audiences and artists meet, we present thought-provoking, playful, and powerful performances in public spaces that address the world we live in.

We bring thousands of people together through our annual festival and year-round artistic and creative programme of performances, installations, and community participation to excite, inspire, challenge, and provoke.

Inspired by the reformist legacy of William Wilberforce we build local, national and international alliances to create cultural experiences that have something to say about universal values and the future we want to make together.

Yellow Day 2023

‘Yellow Day’ was a project that I rolled out across Hull, – with the help of countless people from all corners of the aforementioned city – on Saturday June 24th 2017.
The day itself was created to help people from Hull to celebrate their love of their city, and it’s fascinating history, by means of wearing or creating something yellow.
I chose the colour yellow because it’s a psychologically uplifting colour, and it resonates spontaneity, optimism, positivity and energy. And I intended to link all of those elements with people’s love of Hull and its long and influential history. Furthermore, I chose yellow because it is a colour that is intrinsically linked with Hull, as this was the colour of the the three coronets that featured in Hull’s original coat of arms.
This year’s theme is Teddy Bears #yellowdayhull

Older Peoples Week 2023

The Older People’s Partnership Hull and East Riding was formed in 2014 and became a charity in 2017. We continue to celebrate and champion the rights of older people in Hull and the East Riding.

We work across Hull and East Yorkshire, and the multi-agency partnership promotes the needs of older people, coordinating and improving existing services. We also try to find new, creative approaches to problems older people face in the community.

This creativity is the driving force behind the Celebration of Older People Week, organised and run by the charity.

There are lots of events, entertainment, dancing, raffles, bingos and more!
