Beverley Tales – Three comedy dramas based in Beverley

After the success of Beverley Betrayal last year, Catherine Derrick brings three short drama comedy plays to the theatre.

These plays take place in and near Beverley.

There is also a live singer!

Family Tree

Jackie and Steve’s new next door neighbours Norman and Sandra are always complaining. To make matters worse, Steve is a Hull FC fan and Norman is a Hull Kingston Rovers fan. When Jackie receives an unexpected inheritance, envious Jackie decides to trace her family tree in the hope of finding nobility and money. Not everything works out as planned.

Not In My Back Yard

Four cottage owners in a village near Beverley hope to buy the field behind their cottages and extend their gardens to stop a factory being built. Julie, a beautician, wants to build a beauty studio, Neil, a musician wants to build a music studio, penniless Greg wants to build a shed for his bike and Stella, a councillor wants to build a barbeque area. They all get more than they bargained for!

For The Love of Money

Grace is a wealthy old lady and all alone in the world. Geoff her gardener and his wife Sue are plotting to inherit her money when she dies. Is Grace as naive as they think she is and who is manipulating who? There are some twists and turns in this comedy drama.
