For one night only, Waffle is taking over the beeeautiful St Matthews church for an evening of music, cocktails, food and fundraising. You’re invited! In these uncertain times, let’s take a night to celebrate Waffle, Hull and each other.

• A three course meal (yes it’s all meat-free and yes you’ll love it)
• A bar serving wine, beer, cocktails and mocktails
• Live music from local performers
• An art auction, a chance to bid on limited edition local works!
• Kids can eat for free (a simple pasta dish will be available) just select the add-on when you buy your ticket
• You’re encouraged to dress UP however you like – there’s no better way to honour Waffle than to look and feel fabulous…

What is Waffle? (It would be quicker to tell you what it isn’t…)

Waffle is…

~ A weekly pay-what-you-can restaurant and radio show, run by the community for the community.

~100% volunteer-run.

~ Actively building a stronger local community and strong local economies – ways of sharing food, money, skills and ideas that are designed around care, not profit.

~ A space for conversations to happen and connections to be made.

We’re learning together how to make things happen without waiting for permission…

Waffle has hosted Soup Nights – where Wafflers have heard pitches from local community projects, discussed and then voted on how to spend £1k fundraised money. We’ve had People’s Assemblies – where diners have had chats with strangers about the UK’s broken food system and what we could do differently. And every single week, Waffle transforms a community centre and turns it into your cosy, quirky neighbourhood living room, where everybody’s welcome and nobody’s priced out.

Waffle is a small place with a giant heart, and even bigger dreams.
