Independent Music Week is the UK’s annual, 7-day celebration of independent music & arts venues, and the people that own, run and work in them!

Hull has a unique and vibrant music scene, with a rich and diverse music history, thanks in part to its many live music venues.

Whether it’s a one off gig or a weekly music session, Hull has you covered.

 

The New Adelphi Club

Opened since the late 70’s and under the ownership of Paul Jackson since the mid 80’s. The iconic music venue on De Grey Street has played host to bands such as Pulp, The Housemartins, Happy Mondays and Stone Roses.

 

Polar Bear Music Club

A staple for live music and weekly, free entry club nights, along with ticketed gigs, catering to a wide range of musical tastes and preferences for the people of Hull.

 

Social

Located on the vibrant Humber Street, this unique ex-warehouse events venue is packed with culture and is home to live music, stand-up, theatre and more!

 

Wrecking Ball Arts Centre

A vibrant cultural hub on Whitefriargate, renowned for its eclectic mix of live music, exhibitions and unique, intimate theatre performances.

 

DIVE/HU5

Something in between Berlin, Tokyo and New York. Light and chilled Coffee Shop through the day. Neon lit atmospheric bar / music venue by night.

 

The People’s Republic

This cool bar on est. 2016 is fast becoming ‘the’ place to be on Newland Avenue, serving world beers on tap & playing live world music.

 

Service Station

If you enjoy your music on the rocky side Service Station is the place for you, with live bands and a nod to the 50’s & 60’s every Sunday.

 

O’Rileys

One of Hull’s large-capacity independent multi-entertainment venues, featuring live original and covers bands.
