Celebrating Sanctuary brings together voices and stories from Hull’s Sanctuary Seeker community.
The evening will feature a mix of short performances that includes music, monologues, storytelling and more, celebrating the creativity of Refugees and Asylum Seekers who call Hull their home.
Held in our Godber Studio, this event is a free celebration of the value of being a welcoming city and therefore anyone is welcome!
Hull Truck Theatre’s event will echo what is happening across the city as part of Hull Refugee Week 2025. This year the theme is ‘Community as a Superpower’ where everyone is encouraged to build new connections in and beyond their neighbourhood, sharing feelings of welcome and belonging. In Hull, different organisations and communities will be doing just that by bringing people together to celebrate the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary.
