Pop superstar Craig David is to bring his UK arena tour to Hull next year.
The singer will perform at the Bonus Arena on 9 April 2021. Tickets go on sale on Thursday at 10am.
Since bursting onto the scene with critically acclaimed debut album, ‘Born To Do It’, a genre-defining record that established Craig David as one of the UK’s most beloved artists, Craig has since remained at the helm of his own unique, authentically British sound. Making waves across the globe as the voice of one of the most pivotal eras in UK music, and in turn, one of the most successful artists in UK chart history.
Craig has achieved an astounding 23 UK Top 40 singles, nine UK Top 40 albums, amassed over 5 billion streams worldwide and has achieved multi-platinum status in more than 20 countries.
With two UK Number One albums under his belt, Craig has also received multiple BRIT Award and Grammy nominations, four MOBO Awards, as well as winning three Ivor Novello Awards.
Catapulting back into the charts and into the nation’s hearts with a string of hits and a UK Number One album with ‘Following My Intuition’, his triumphant return continued with the acclaimed ‘The Time is Now’. Bonus Arena is a state-of-the-art, music and events complex with a capacity of up to 3,500 people that will allow Hull to attract large corporate conferences, exhibitions and trade tours as well as major touring concerts, stand-up comedy, family shows and sporting events. The plans include the building of the new arena, alongside the rebuilding of Osborne Street car park and additional public spaces in a currently derelict area on Myton Street behind Princes Quay shopping centre. The arena is scheduled to open during the summer of 2018. The building is owned by Hull City Council and will be managed by SMG Europe, a world leader in venue management, operation and marketing with more than 220 venues worldwide, including Manchester Arena, Metro Radio Arena Newcastle, First Direct Arena Leeds, The Baths Hall and The Plowright Theatre Scunthorpe.
