Each edition is built around a thought-provoking theme, with inspiring speakers, hands-on activities, performances, and music. No two events are the same – each one has its own unique energy. Whether you’re a painter, ceramicist, designer, photographer, marketeer or just someone with a creative spark, you’ll find your people here.
It’s free, it’s open to everyone, and it’s where ideas turn into action.
Come for the stories. Stay for the energy. Be part of the conversation.

Cities Reimagined
How does art influence urban spaces?
Join us for the next edition of Cultural Conversations as we explore how creativity shapes the places we live, work and play. From bold public artworks to thoughtful city planning, Cities Reimagined invites you to consider how art and design influence the way we move through, interact with and imagine our urban spaces—especially here in Hull.
We’ll be joined by Michael Pinsky, an acclaimed artist who has worked extensively on public realm projects worldwide. Many will remember his City Speaks installation on Hull’s tidal barrier, part of the Hull 2017 programme. Michael’s ambitious and often provocative work explores the forces that shape our public spaces, combining the roles of artist, urban planner, activist, researcher and resident. His practice begins by engaging local people and responding to the unique character of place.
Alongside Michael, we’ll hear from a guest from the worlds of architecture and urban planning, exploring how arts and culture can help drive regeneration and placemaking. From reimagining neglected spaces to creating vibrant new destinations, we’ll consider how creativity can strengthen communities and shape the future of our city.
Whether you’re an artist, a designer, a placemaker—or simply curious about Hull’s future—come join the conversation. Expect great people, big ideas, and plenty to talk about.
Arrive early to catch up with friends and colleagues or stick around after to keep the conversation going.
